Valley Groove Productions dba Mountaineer Brewfest, is recognized as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code section 501 (c) (3). Proceeds from this event benefit local Wheeling, WV charities which are selected by the Mountaineer Brewfest Committee yearly.
Our mission is:
- To promote West Virginia’s unique and growing industry of craft and microbreweries
- To provide the public an opportunity to learn about West Virginia’s craft and microbrewers and their products
- To create a venue for West Virginia’s craft and microbrewers to promote their products
- To provide the best in Entertainment, Food, and Merchandise from West Virginia’s Northern Panhandle all within a relaxed atmosphere.
- To encourage community within the city of Wheeling by:
- Working with local officials and businesses to provide a sustainable event
- By donating festival proceeds to local charities
The Mountaineer Brewfest is held the 3rd Saturday in August. This year's date is: August 16, 2025
VIP entry is at 3:00pm General Admission entry is at 4:00pm Festival closes at 10:00pm Last call is at 9:30pm
Parking is available in the Wheeling Intermodal Center located at 1401 Main Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 and can be reached at 304-233-4624. Event rates are determined by the City of Wheeling. Accessible parking is available in the Wheeling Intermodal Center. Designated spaces are available for vehicles displaying a current state-issued disability placard or license plate. These accessible spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis, so please plan accordingly.
Street parking is available in Wheeling on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, parking is available in surface lots along Main Street within short walking distance of the Wheeling Heritage Port.
You must be 21 years of age to purchase tickets.
Valid photo ID is required for admittance (no exceptions).

Food for purchase is available from local vendors.

EARLY BIRD TICKET PRICES: VIP Admission is $70, VIP plus Thursday Craft Beer & Food Pairing is $80, General Admission is $35. AFTER JULY 31st: VIP Admission is $80, General Admission is $45. DESIGNATED DRIVER TICKETS: VIP Designated Driver Admission is $25, General Admission Designated Driver Admission is $15
We have announced that there will be 2200 general admission tickets and 200 VIP tickets sold for this year’s festival, there are no guarantees of tickets at the door.
Yes, but you must first purchase an admission ticket and have a wristband to participate in the festival, otherwise you will not be served. We will have a ticket tent available by the dock. You must be 21 to enter and have a photo id.
You can pay by credit card online at www.mountaineerbrewfest.com. At the door, if there are tickets available, you can pay by credit card or cash.

Yes, while we attempt to anticipate the number of people in attendance, and alert the Brewers to expected capacity, some of these Craft Brewers are small production facilities and can only produce so much for our festival. We hope people purchase their tickets in advance so that we have a better idea of what to plan for. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences.
For 1 ticket you receive a 4oz sample
Yes, 4 sample tickets will get your commemorative mug filled, 2 tickets will get a half pour, and 1 ticket will get a 4 oz pour.
Yes, 1 additional strip of 10 sample tickets may be purchased per person.
Yes, 4 sample tickets can be exchanged for one beer from our beer garden.
Yes, 2 beers only permitted per purchase at the Beer Garden.
We make every effort to have at least 50 additional craft beers available in the Beer Garden.
Mountaineer Brewfest reserves the right to card anyone at any time. Wristbands must be visible at all times. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. No offensive language or conduct. Mountaineer Brewfest servers reserve the right to refuse serving to anyone appearing intoxicated and/or does not comply with wristband identification and sample ticketing policies. Beer dispensed and sold only in festival provided plastic cups and commemorative mug with accompanying sample ticket(s). No beer products will be dispensed/sold in any other container. Beer garden sales limited to two per purchase. Additional sample ticket sales limited to 1 strip of 10 per person. Violation of any of these rules can result in your immediate removal from the festival.
